I really enjoy a good beach read. Even better when it is not exclusively a romance. Not that I don't enjoy a good romance set at the beach, I just like a bit of variety.
I liked Charlotte, and I like the resiliency she had to display when her husband was arrested for financial crimes. She was so confident in her husband's innocence, too. I also loved that the author included a lot of Iris. A young teen is trying to cope with some profound life changes. But what I loved most was the support she received from the other moms at the beach house. Women supporting women. It doesn't happen enough.
