Daisy Darker has had health issues her whole life. She likes to say that she was born with a broken heart. Daisy hasn't been all that close with her family, but they have all been called to celebrate Nana's 80th birthday. Nana's family home is this crumbling, gothic home off the coast. Once the family arrives they will be cut off from the rest of the world until low tide. They aren't there very long when Nana is found murdered. And then Daisy's father is found dead. One by one, Daisy's family goes missing. Who is killing off the Darker family and will Daisy be able to survive morning, when it is low tide?

Alice Feeney has a brilliant mind when it comes to writing thrillers. Daisy Darker is a new twist on an old Agatha Christie novel.  Daisy Darker is an interesting character. She has had a lot of health issues, but seems to be in a good place. Her sisters seemed to have some entitlement issues that go way back. Really, the only good person in Daisy's life is her grandmother. I figured out the "twist" pretty early in life, but I am not even mad about it, because they author did such an amazing job of laying out the story. CLICK HERE FOR SPOILERS

Bottom Line - I think Alice Feeney is becoming one of my favorite authors. Daisy Darker is atmospheric and gothic with twists at every turn.
