Olvia was shocked to wake up and discover that she had been sleepwalking. It was twenty years ago when Olivia, then Arden, wandered away from her home while sleepwalking. The entire town was out looking for the six-year-old, but she wasn't found until three days later. Her nightly sleep routine has prevented the sleep-walking for nearly twenty years, but now she lives in fear of it happening again. But she does. And it was stumbling over a dead body that wakes her up. The mystery continues when it comes out that the dead man at her feet was the man who found her twenty years ago, Sean Coleman. What was he doing there? And why does she get the feeling that somebody is watching her?
The Girl From Widow Hills was full of surprises! I liked Olivia. She was resilient and had really pulled herself up by her bootstraps. It was admirable. I understand her mentality, cautious about opening up to others, especially those who open up to her. Her fear over sleepwalking again pushed her to surprising lengths, which was just proof that she was desperate to not sleepwalk. The end of the book is peppered with surprise after surprise. Some of them shocked even me. - CLICK HERE FOR SPOILERS. But once again, it just shows how Olivia is really resilient.
Bottom Line - Megan Miranda knows what it takes to write a story that can keep a reader on their toes.
