Juno has been watching the Crouch family for a while.  From the outside, Nigel and Winnie have a perfect life. A perfect marriage. A perfect son.  And a perfect house in the suburbs. Juno is envious of their perfect life and wants to be a part of it. So she finds a way to get on the inside and discovers that their life is far from perfect. Nigel drinks too much, Winnie nags too much, and Winnie's brother is out to destroy them all. But then Juno discovers that Winnie and Nigel are hiding a much darker secret.

The first book I read in 2021 was not as good as I had hoped. At first, I wondered if Juno was a ghost. And that was in the first chapter. (I was wrong about that, by the way.) Neither Winnie nor Nigel were very likable characters, and that became more apparent the deeper into the book you get. Even Samuel was a little shit at times. Juno was a character to pity. Her life took some wrong turns and her life spiraled completely out of control. And then there was Dakota and the rest of Winnie's family. Holy crap, talk about the dysfunction. -- CLICK HERE FOR SPOILERS

Bottom Line - The Wrong Family should have been a fast read, but I avoided it. It felt like a chore to get through, and that isn't good for any book. Let alone the first book of a new year.
