Okay - I am stuck in a memoir rut and I want out of that rut starting NOW!
The latest in a long line of recent memoirs is I'm Kind of A Big Deal by Stefanie Wilder-Taylor. Maybe I am burned out on memoirs or maybe my sense of humor is not up to par after working around the house all weekend, but I did not the hilarious Stefanie Wilder-Taylor very hilarious.
In her new book, Stefanie Wilder-Taylor regales us with tales from the earlier days of her life in Hollywood. From her very short stint as a limo driver to her obsession with dating game shows and her job as a writer, she holds nothing back.
I won't say I didn't get a chuckle out of a story or two of hers, but I never did the whole belly laugh thing that I did with Wade Rouse's It's All Relative. Overall it was decent, just not what it could have been.
