David & Jan Harwood have taken their four year old son, Ethan to the new amusement park that just opened outside of their sleepy college town. But that is when the normalcy ends and David is thrown into the nightmare of his life.Never Look Away is one of those books that have you on your edge of your seat almost from the first word. If you have read enough suspense/thriller type of books, then you sort of know how it goes. But in the first few pages Linwood Barclay takes the expected and turns it upside down. And that is about all I can say without giving major spoilers.
I will say that there was a minor section of the book that was a bit predictable. But other than that, the entire book kept me guessing . And I LOVE it when my "guesses" are wrong!
Linwood Barclay is an author on par with Harlan Coben. His books are fast paced and anxiety ridden. Just when you think you have something figured out, he spins the story in a whole other direction leaving you wondering where it will all end up! If you have not read his books before, Never Look Away is a perfect one to start with!
