Life is too short to struggle through a book. And if it takes me a week to finish any book (that is not Russian), that is too long in my opinion. I made it about 150 pages into the book, before I just couldn't read another page.
The premise is a good one. An East Coast town that because the weekend home to wealthy New York families & the local real estate agent that sold them their homes. But it just didn't grab hold of me.
The book was very hard to get into & the story never really seems to take off.
So to honor the Daytona 500, this one goes down as a DNF.
I'm with you on the not wasting time with one book when there are so many others to read. Glad to see I'm not alone, although you gave it quite a chance.
It's so hard for me to make that decision, but I do now and then.
Bummer, the premise does sound good.
I certainly know how that is and I don't blame you!
