Sewanee Chester wanted to be an actress. It was her dream long before she was a student at Juilliard. And she was well on her way to having all her dreams come true when a freak accident cost Sewanee her eye and her dreams. Sewanee had to change careers and found herself a narrator of audiobooks while watching her best friend carry out their dreams. One weekend Sewanee is at a book convention when she has a one-night stand with a handsome stranger. It gave her a nice boost of confidence to go back and deal with her ailing grandmother and possibly make another attempt at acting. Sewanee says yes to a project that she normally wouldn't take in order to take care of her grandmother and in the process she finds herself going down an unknown path, one that might lead to love.

I have been listening to a lot of audiobooks lately and hands down, Julia Whelan is my favorite narrator. I was so excited to listen to her own words. Thank You For Listening is a romance with heart. First, the main character has a disability, she lost her eye in an accident. She also brings to light the incredible costs of senior care in our country. Sewanee was willing to do anything necessary to keep her grandmother in a familiar place. A topic that has touched my own life in the last few years. There is an element of predictability found in every romance novel and this one is no different. But it was still a good book.

Bottom Line - I enjoyed Thank You For Listening and if you like romance novels, I think you will, too.
