Lizzie Oullette was an outcast in her small Maine community of Copper Falls. Not only did Lizzie grow up at the town dump that her dad owned, but many in town believe that she ruined her husband's life when they got married young. Lizzie always had bigger dreams and renting out their lake home was going to help her reach her dreams. Until one fall morning, Lizzie's body is found at the lake house and Dwayne is nowhere to be found. Detective Ian Bird doesn't care about Lizzie's history with the town, he just wants to find out what happened to Lizzie. His investigation takes him to the city and to the most recent guest at Lizzie's lake house. Adrienne Richards and her husband, Ethan, are infamous for their own reasons, but what role did they have in the death of Lizzie Oullette? And where is Dwayne?

No One Will Miss Her was one of those fast-paced novels with so many shocking twists I nearly dropped my Kindle. The perception around Copper Falls was that Lizzie was trash and nothing but trouble. The reality is, Lizzie is just a soft-hearted animal lover that always had dreams bigger than Copper Falls. Adrienne Richards is a bored, rich housewife who has been exiled by society because of her husband's wrongdoings. She looks for entertainment in the cruelest of ways. The book is told from different perspectives with a series of flashbacks, but it paints a very clear, shocking picture. Things were not as they appeared. CLICK HERE FOR SPOILERS.  I have to be very careful with saying more because I don't want to spoil the twist for you, but it was one that I didn't see coming.

Bottom Line - Kat Rosenfield did what very little authors can do these days - shock me. No One Will Miss Her is a thrill ride from start to finish. And Kat Rosenfield is a fresh voice to me in a genre that has been desperate for something fresh. I can't wait to see what she does next.
