Mallory Quinn has made mistakes in her life. She is fresh out of rehab and working with a sponsor. It is the sponsor who gets her the job as a nanny for a wealthy couple in the suburbs. Caroline and Ted make Mallory feel like a member of the family and little Teddy absolutely adores Mallory. Everything is going perfectly until Teddy draws the most disturbing pictures. Then Mallory notices disturbing things happening around Teddy and she wonders if there isn't something supernatural happening at this house in the suburbs. When the kooky next-door neighbor suggests a seance, Mallory agrees. She wants to understand what is happening. And it is more sinister than she ever could have imagined.

It pleasantly surprised me how much I liked Hidden Pictures. It was part ghost story and part redemption story. Mallory Quinn has experienced a lot in her life for being such a young woman.  I thought that she was a bit liberal in the way she just went into the Maxwell home when they were asleep. Boundaries and all. But I just chalked that up to her age. In the end, Mallory turned out to be pretty badass. - CLICK HERE FOR SPOILERS.

Bottom Line - Forget the beach, Hidden Pictures is meant to be read deep in the woods around a campfire, with the sounds of crickets and owls as your soundtrack. Wherever you read it, you will love it. I promise.
